Medimiks Ltd. was founded by Dr. Hakki Kumusoglu in Istanbul.


GenMer Genetic Diseases & Prenatal Diagnosis Centre, one of the first private genetics labs of Turkey was founded by Dr. Hakki Kumusoglu and starting to work together with Medimiks under the same roof.


Medimiks became the distributor of Vysis Inc., the pioneer and the market leader in FISH probes business worldwide.


After the acquisition of Vysis by Abbott, Medimiks started to work as an authorised dealer of Abbott -Turkey for FISH probes sales. Medimiks also moved its headquarters to the European side of Istanbul and opened the branch of GenMer Lab. in that new location in order to provide better service to both sides of the city.


Medimiks and a French R&D laboratory, ATL R&D sarl. decided to merge their companies and formed the two new companies located in Paris and Istanbul. The aim of this new structure was working together in the field of biotechnology and provide advanced technology and complete product mix to IVF and genetics laboratories.


Medimiks became the distributor of Bioview’s automated FISH scanning and analysis systems.


Medimiks’s microarray development project was supported by TUBITAK-TEYDEB (The Scientific & Technological Research Council of Turkey - Technology and Innovation Funding Programs Directorate). With the partnership of Medimiks, a new technopark company, OKSANTE Inc. was established in order to do research for the development of oxidative stress analysis methods and antioxidants.


Another research project of Medimiks (Turkey) and ATL(France) was supported by EUREKA (European Research Coordination Agency) which was the first EUREKA support for a project with a Turkish parent company in the field of biological sciences. OKSANTE’s rapid oxidative stress screening kit development project was also suported by TUBITAK-TEYDEB.


Medimiks and OKSANTE’s joint R&D Labs and Medimiks’ headquarters moved back to Istanbul city center. Medimiks received ISO13485 certificate for medical device production.


Medimiks’s 36 products was approved by Turkish Ministry of Health.


The number of products approved by MoH reached to 470. Medimiks and OKSANTE started to move a part of their R&D Lab to the newest technology development zone named Technopark Istanbul.
